   "I tend to lean towards more off-kilter stories and visuals; especially in terms of my own work.

   I much prefer films that are told through their image and sound, the least amount of dialogue I can use to tell the story, the better. I feel that takes the most advantage of the medium and evokes much more feeling, whether that be laughing or crying".

Lewis Ward is a 24-year-old writer, director and editor

 

 Born and raised in Colchester, he began making short films with his neighbourhood friends at the age of 13. Throughout his teenage years, Lewis developed his skills further, co-founding the production company Berwyn Films and making several award-winning short films.


At the age of 18, Lewis wrote and directed the music video for Ro Bradley's single, “Take me to Paradise”(2017) which aired on Vevo. A year later he again wrote and directed a second music video for Ro Bradley, this time for the single “Lost Without You”(2019). These have amassed over 350,000 views on YouTube.
In addition to this, he has also worked on several TV and feature film productions; most notably for Netflix, BBC and Sky.
   Recently Lewis is most well known for writing, directing and editing award-winning short films such as “Pan-Fried Guerrillas”(2019), “The Horn"(2020) and “Baggage”(2021).
